Miki trained as a painter at Hornsey College of Art, London in the 1960’s. She then decided to follow her passion for the theatre and work as a stage designer, studying under the legendary Percy Harris at the Motley Design School, going on to work at The English National Opera.
After many years designing sets and costumes in theatre, television and films, including being Production Designer on Terence Davies’ award-winning ‘Distant Voices, Still Lives’, in 1997 Miki returned to her first love, painting.
